Runnin’ Bear Ranch Adds to Agricultural Conservation Momentum in the Burnt Fork

Doug and Janis Astle recently completed a conservation easement with the Bitter Root Land Trust on their 220-acre Runnin’ Bear Ranch. In doing so, they joined a growing number of families that have conserved their land in the Burnt Fork drainage of the Bitterroot Valley.

The Community's Stream: Broadwater County Celebrates Successful Restoration of Deep Creek

It took a lot of handshakes to restore Deep Creek. Over the past decade, more than 20 landowners took on hundreds of conservation projects to improve stream health and agricultural lands along the creek.

USDA Invites Input on Conservation Stewardship Program Rule

NRCS seeks public comments on its interim final rule for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). CSP is the nation’s largest conservation program, designed to help farmers have more robust conservation activities.
