Tillamook County Local Work Group Meeting
The workshop will feature a local farmer panel of local cover crop users to share their recommendations for getting started and sticking with them.
You are invited to attend the Centre, Clinton & Lycoming Counties Local Work Group Meeting hosted by the USDA/NRCS. The meeting will be held on Monday February 23th from 9: 30am to 11 am in the auditorium at the Porter Township Community Building at 216 Spring Run Run Road, Lamar, PA.
The workshop aims to highlight how woodland management and woodchip bioreactors can work together to reduce nitrate and improve water quality.
The State Technical Committee meets regularly to provide information, analysis and recommendations to USDA officials charged with implementing the conservation provisions under the Farm Bill. The meeting will be virtual.

Local Working Group meetings are a valuable part of the NRCS planning process, providing an opportunity for farmers, woodland owners, and local land managers to be part of a collaborative effort to improve natural resources within your district.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a Local Working Group meeting for Allegany and Steuben Counties on February 25. The meeting is open to the public.
