The public meeting will be about the commencement of work for a Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment, which will assist in the Federal decision-making process concerning the potential to improve the existing water supply in the Bordeaux region of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation’s Anna Gray will provide details on successful Conservation Easements and showcase conservation impacts across Iowa

The Natural Resources Conservation Service in New Hampshire will host a hybrid (In-person with Video Conference option) State Technical Committee Meeting October 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Urban Producers, Public Invited to Attend October Meeting of Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production.
Dr. Deanna Osmond will share lessons learned from 13 watershed-scale studies of conservation effects conducted under the Conservation Effects Assessment Project by universities in partnership with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
Topics to include soil health, high tunnels, Riparian areas, NRCS and FSA programs. Lunch provided.
The State Technical Committee (STC) provides recommendations to the NRCS State Conservationist on NRCS-related issues in Ohio. These issues include the implementation of NRCS programs, the development of NRCS practice standards, and others.
State Technical Committees serve in an advisory capacity to the Natural Resources Conservation Service and other USDA agencies on the implementation of the natural resources conservation provisions of Farm Bill legislation.
