NRCS partners, Coastal Prairie Conservation and the Wildlife Habitat Federation is hosting a free Zoom lunch and learn from noon to 1:30 p.m. CST on Jan. 28, 2024. The topic for the webinar is nature-positive resources for landowners.
Speakers include Jay Fuhrer is the lead educator at Menoken Farm near Bismarck, N.D., Jerry L. Hatfield is the retired Director of the USDA-ARS National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment in Ames, Iowa, and Kevin Wiltse and wife Mandy farm and ranch southeast of Timken, Kansas.
The Urban Agriculture Subcommittee will host two partner-oriented workgroups to provide recommendations to NRCS on how to best support urban and small farm agriculture in the State through financial assistance programs.
