Natural Resource Career Development Program (NRCDP) Third Party Internships
Natural Resource Career Development Program
Description: The NRCDP is an internship component, that is built into cooperative agreements with selected universities and national organizations. This program is designed to put aspiring students on a career path towards permanent employment with NRCS. The program includes educational and developmental components organized by selected partner institution and the NRCS National Program Managers. Focused outreach centers primarily on students pursuing degrees that align with agency occupations and is intended to create a pipeline of student talent for the NRCS permanent workforce. Students submit their application through their university or organization that holds the agreement for NRCDP.
NRCS Student Ambassador Program
Description: The NRCS Student Ambassador Program is targeted to college students. The program was developed to create a peer-to-peer recruitment approach by connecting prospective students to NRCS student programs. This strategic outreach and recruitment targets key universities, helps identify students enrolled in degree programs that align with agency occupations, and will continue to build and sustain a highly talented workforce. The Student Ambassadors Program will identify, develop, and enhance the college students’ knowledge and skills, while preparing them for natural resource careers.
