USDA Offers Disaster Assistance to Agricultural Producers in Oklahoma Impacted by Tornadoes
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is opening a special disaster sign-up for $1 million in additional funding through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program for producers in Oklahoma who have been impacted by recent wildfires.
Funding from the Inflation Reduction Act will help farmers save money, create new revenue streams, enhance natural resources, and tackle the climate crisis.
USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is accepting proposals through its Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI) until Sunday, May 26, 2024.
On March 13, 2024, NRCS announced it will invest about $138 million of financial assistance from the Inflation Reduction Act in 138 new climate-smart conservation easements, through which farmers and ranchers are conserving wetlands, grasslands and prime farmlands.
