Sometimes getting a different view of a situation or problem can make the solution much more apparent. NRCS Idaho has set out to show how that can work in the world of conservation easements.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service West Wide Snow Survey Training took place the week of February 10. Snow surveyors for Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming spent a week in Stanley, Idaho learning how to accurately and safely conduct surveys.
Plant Guides provide valuable information to conservation planners, researchers, and others using plants in natural resource conservation projects. Over 500 plant guides are available through the NRCS PLANTS Database.

The Gates Family Farm, in the Bitterroot River watershed, was recently protected by an Agricultural Land Easement in partnership with the Bitter Root Land Trust, Ravalli County Open Lands Bond program, and the USDA NRCS.

If you’ve ever spent a sunny summer day in Provincetown, Massachusetts, you know that it’s a bustling tourist town at the very end of Cape Cod. The main thoroughfare – Commercial Street – is lined with restaurants, shops, homes and B&Bs, all of which have a lovely view of Provincetown Harbor.
The Ennis community came together to plant a pollinator garden at the Ennis school in partnership with the Madison Conservation District and Madison Farm to Fork.
