STEP 4 - How to Become a TSP
Step 4: TSP Training Requirements – Logging into AgLearn
Training is a critical component of the TSP certification process. NRCS offers an expansive list of training opportunities for new TSP applicants and certified TSPs through the Agricultural Learning Service (AgLearn) and the USDA Science and Technology Library.
All TSP applicants seeking TSP certification to provide technical services to eligible NRCS program participants must complete the TSP Orientation and Conservation Planning Course (Course ID#NRCS-NEDC-000191). There may be other courses required as outlined in the certification criteria document.
New TSPs:
Currently, new TSP applicants are not able to have an AgLearn account established for them. We have been offering the TSP Orientation and Conservation Planning course in place of the AgLearn version until internal processes are updated.
Previous NRCS Employees or Partners
NOTE: If you have ever had an AgLearn account in the past, in any capacity (NRCS employee, partner, expired TSP) and that account has been suspended, please follow the instructions below. If you are not sure if you ever had an AgLearn account, please contact your respective Regional Coordinator.
Submitting the “AgLearn Account Request Form” will notify the Regional Coordinators to request a reinstatement of your AgLearn account as a TSP and transfer training history from your NRCS account to your TSP account.
For former NRCS employees and partners ONLY:
1. Complete the required “AgLearn Account Request Form”
2. Email the required form to request an AgLearn account to TSP.Aglearn.Requests@usda.gov
3. Once you have been notified your AgLearn account has been reinstated, you may Login to AgLearn and enroll in any courses required for the certification.
