Second Signup Announced: Land Management and Land Rental Funding Available to Livestock Producers in N.H. Under Partnership with American Farmland Trust

The NRCS in N.H. alongside partners from the American Farmland Trust, have announced a second signup date for land management and land rental funding available to livestock producers in select N.H. counties. 

DOVER, N.H. December 10, 2024 – Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in partnership with American Farmland Trust, has announced a second signup for financial assistance for Land Management and Land Rental activities through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025.

Livestock producers in Cheshire, Sullivan, Grafton and Coos Counties are eligible for this program. Applications are accepted year-round, but the deadline for this second signup in FY 2025 is Friday, January 10, 2025.

This funding is part of the Western New England Regenerative Agriculture RCPP project 2311, focused on increasing the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices in Western New England livestock farms through technical and financial assistance opportunities. These funds will assist livestock producers in implementing conservation practices to improve soil health or protect water quality. Examples of eligible projects include prescribed grazing, pasture and hay planting, cover crop planting, pollinator habitats, and more.
