NRCS Announces Additional AMA, CSP, EQIP–NWQI, EQIP-WaterSMART, and EQIP-Colorado River Salinity Funding Opportunity, Apply by June 6, 2025
Casper, Wyo., May 2, 2025 - Farmers, Ranchers, and landowners plan ahead and sign up early for USDA conservation funding. Jackie Byam, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Conservationist in Wyoming, announced farmers, ranchers, and landowners interested in the Agriculture Management Assistance (AMA), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI), WaterSMART, and Colorado River Salinity Control Area for funding in 2025. Applications are being accepted at all USDA Service Centers in Wyoming.
“The Farm Bill allows NRCS to support conservation ensuring cost-effective financial assistance for improved soil health, water and air quality and other natural resources benefits,” said Byam. “By getting applications in early, NRCS staff will have time to assist in planning conservation practice needs.”
NRCS accepts producer applications for its conservation programs year-round, but all eligible applications received by June 6, 2025, will be evaluated, and ranked for funding in 2025. Farmers may contact their local USDA Service Center to get started on producer eligibility and planning. Byam reminds farmers who are interested in practices that may require permits, such as manure storage or streambank restoration, to begin planning and seeking permits as soon as possible.
