NRCS State Technical Committee will meet December 17 Virtually

Huron, SD, November 21, 2024—The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) serving South Dakota (SD) will hold its regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Advisory Committee (STC) virtually at 10 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. This meeting is anticipated to run for one and a half to two hours.

Featured this session will be Congressional staff updates, information of agency conservation practices, producer perspectives, and wetland/highly erodible land compliance. Along with partnership updates, updates for Farm Bill Programs will be shared for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) of the Farm Service Agency (FSA), Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) update, and easements. Partners are invited to provide brief updates of their organizational activities or upcoming events. Partners wishing to participate should notify Colette Kessler, Assistant State Conservationist for Partnerships, via email colette.kessler@usda.gov.
