Wildfire Disaster Recovery

Project Description:
The destructive force of wildfires can leave lasting impacts on both the physical landscape and the emotional well-being of those affected.  2024 was an active fire year impacting many acres of private lands across Eastern and Central Oregon. The goal of this project is to assist affected producers and landowners with restoration and recovery of burned range and timberlands. Utilizing practices such as reseeding of grasses and forbs, control of noxious and invasive species, removal of hazardous and damaged trees and livestock grazing deferment will be a benefit to the livestock and wildlife and allow the landscape to rest and recover.

    c. 25-49% of the local operation (land operated by the applicant) was burned in a wildfire in 2024. 
    d. 0-24% of the local operation (land operated by the applicant) was burned in a wildfire in 2024.
  4. What percentage of the planned treatment acreage includes priority practices in the identified priority area for the wildfire?
    a. 75-100% of the treatment acreage will be treated with priority practice(s) in the identified priority area.
    b. 50-74% of the treatment acreage will be treated with priority practice(s) in the identified priority area. 
    c. 25-49% of the treatment acreage will be treated with priority practice(s) in the identified priority area.
    d. Less than 24% of the treatment acreage will be treated with priority practice(s) in the identified priority area.
  5. Will the priority practice(s) be implemented in coordination or jointly with affected landowners?
