Project Description
A coordinated, cross-boundary effort to promote healthy forest ecosystems, reduce the risk of uncharacteristically severe wildfire, and reduce risk to communities in the Upper Applegate area of the Rogue Basin in Jackson County.

  1. Where is the property located in relation to strategically defined roads (Upper Applegate Road, Little Applegate Road, Sterling Creek Road, Highway 238, and Humbug Creek Road) within the boundary of the CIS project area (pick one)?
  2. Does the property share a common boundary with another property (public or private) that has effective fuels treatment established or planned?
  3. Will fuel breaks or fire breaks be installed as part of the proposed treatment? Will the applicant treat to a lower residual basal area target of 50-70 square feet?
  4. Does the property contain any of the following features?
    1. Ridgeline/crest
    2. Shared driveway (more than one property owner)
    3. Legacy oaks
  5. Is the property located on a salmonid bearing stream?
