  1. Applicant has begun implementing a forest/woodland management plan that benefits oak woodland/savanna*.  (Note that any work performed before EQIP contract obligation is not authorized by NRCS to be reimbursed)
  2. The applicant’s oak community is adjacent to a completed forest/woodland project.
  3. The applicant’s oak community contains old growth oak trees. 
  4. The applicant’s oak community is located within a firewise community
  5. The applicant’s oak community is adjacent a residence with adequate defensible space.
  6. The applicant’s oak community is located adjacent to public land.
  7. The applicant’s oak community is located on a ridgeline.
  8. The applicant’s oak community is located adjacent to a perennial stream.
