Ranking Questions

  1. Does this application include the installation of a firebreak and/or fuel break?
  2. If installed in conjunction with a road, will 383/394 be planned on both sides of the road, or if under different ownership, will the applicant widen their side accordingly to achieve the planned purpose?
  3. Does the application include strategic Prescribed Grazing on lands adjacent to the firebreak/fuel break to keep fine fuels managed?
  4. Does the application include the implementation of a Conservation Crop Rotation which incorporates an alternative crop with a higher moisture content during wildfire season (ex. Canola, beans, peas)?
  5. Will the planned firebreak and/or fuel break tie into an anchor point such as a neighboring planned firebreak, existing road, rock outcrop, or riparian area to achieve continuity across the landscape?
  6. Does the planned firebreak and/or fuel break occur along the priority north-south roads within the CIS footprint?
