NRCS's natural resources conservation programs provide funding opportunities for agricultural producers and other landowners to reduce soil erosion, enhance water supplies, improve water quality, increase wildlife habitat, and reduce damages caused by floods and other natural disasters.

Through voluntary programs, the agency provides financial and technical assistance to help private landowners plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns or opportunities to save energy, improve soil, water, plant, air, animal and related resources on agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land.
