North Branch Antelope Creek Watershed Plan

North Branch Antelope Creek Watershed Plan

DRAFT WATERSHED PLAN - ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (EIS) NORTH BRANCH ANTELOPE CREEK WATERSHED, DRAIN 95 DETENTION SITE

The purpose of the proposed action is flood damage reduction.

Average annual cropland inundation by flooding in the watershed is xx acres which results in high transport of nutrients to the North Branch Antelope Creek, in addition to detrimental impacts to agricultural production and infrastructure.

The proposed action includes the construction of a dry dam to reduce the extents, frequency, and duration of downstream cropland flooding.  North Branch Antelope Creek Drain 95 will entail construction of a 2.25-mile earthen embankment dam, associated spillways, farmstead levees, and road raises.
