Through Frameworks for Conservation Action, NRCS offers strategies to address threats to our natural resources and wildlife across the country. The frameworks found collaboration, partnerships, proven conservation to address natural resource challenges, and action to move the work forward.
Working Lands for Wildlife Frameworks for Conservation Action
To strengthen wildlife conservation on working lands, USDA released the new Western Migratory Big Game framework to address threats to big game species like elk, pronghorn and mule deer, across 17 states. This framework builds on three existing Working Lands for Wildlife (WLFW) frameworks in the Sagebrush Biome, Great Plains Grasslands, and Northern Bobwhite, Grasslands and Savannas. USDA will continue working with partners to develop three new frameworks across the country: Eastern Deciduous Forest, Eastern Aquatic Connectivity, and Southeastern Pine Ecosystems.
