Florida NRCS offers $15.5 million through Conservation Stewardship Program

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will host a virtual workshop and overview of the Conservation Stewardship Program for agricultural producers and non-industrial, private forest landowners on Monday, November 6, 2023.
GAINESVILLE, Florida – November 2, 2023 – USDA’ Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will host a virtual workshop and overview of the Conservation Stewardship Program for agricultural producers and non-industrial, private forest landowners on Monday, November 6, 2023.
CSP is a unique program that offers additional conservation and financial opportunities. Florida CSP funding for fiscal year 2024 (FY2024) was increased to $15.5 million.
There will be two opportunities to attend the Zoom workshop on the same day.

“A big change from last fiscal year is that the minimum annual payment that a producer can receive was increased to $4,000/year,” said Walter Albarran, Acting State Conservationist. “We look forward to visiting with producers, ranchers, and non-industrial forest landowners, and showing them how CSP may be of benefit and support to their agricultural operations.”
The new cut off/batching date to submit CSP Classic Applications in FY2024 is Friday, November 17, 2023.
