The Milwaukee River Watershed Clean Farm Families Soil Health Winter Workshop

#RootsNotIron: Using Plants Not Steel to Manage Soil, One Farmer's Lifelong Journey in Soil and Water Management Strategies
Registration
Registration and networking begins at 10:30am.
The Annual Soil Health Workshop will feature Blake Vince, who farms no-till and cover crops in Ontario, Canada.

Southwestern Ontario, Canada farmer, Blake Vince, started his no-till journey in 1983! The soils in his area are poorly drained-heavy clay, leading to increased pressure on adjacent water bodies with nutrient loading due to soil erosion. The proximity to Lake Erie centers his soil health journey around water quality and makes soil health a priority on his farm. Please join us to learn more about Blake’s farming background, soil health resiliency and the importance of global networking!
Registration and networking begins at 10:30am, with Blake Vince beginning his presentation at 10:45am. Lunch will be served at noon and continued discussion with Blake at 1pm. We will wrap up the event by presenting the Jim Melichar Soil Health Award.
