Potomac Valley Conservation District Local Work Group meeting scheduled, May 14

Potomac Valley Conservation District in cooperation with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a local work group meeting to gather input from farmers, state and federal agencies, agriculture and conservation organizations regarding natural resource conservation priorities.

The Potomac Valley Conservation District in cooperation with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is hosting a Local Work Group Meeting to gather input from farmers, landowners, state and federal agencies, and agriculture and conservation organizations regarding natural resource conservation priorities. The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Farm Credit Building at 550 South Main Street in Moorefield, WV 26836.
The local work group includes representatives from cooperating federal, state, and local conservation agencies and is open to the public including all farmers, agricultural producers, and forest owners/managers. As part of NRCS’s locally led process, public comments will be sought from attendees on how to best prioritize USDA dollars for your local area.
The Potomac Valley Conservation District covers Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral, and Pendleton Counties. NRCS District Conservationists, Sarah Taylor Goldizen and Lee Haggerty, and their staff work from the NRCS field offices in Petersburg, Romney, Moorefield, Keyser, and Franklin.
