Join Ozaukee County Demo Farm Network at Red Line Ranch (Matt and Sarah Winker) for an in-depth pasture walk and grazing field day. We will be covering topics like starting a grazing system, pasture and fence establishment, and multi-species grazing.

10:00am - Getting Started on Grazing

Thelma Heidel-Baker, NRCS, will discuss the beginning steps on how to get started grazing and the cost-share opportunities available. Kelsey Wallisch, Glacierland RC&D, will talk about starting a grazing plan appropriate for you.

10:45am - Pasture and Fence Establishment

Brad Ketchum, Gallagher Fence, will discuss different fencing products, application, and maintenance with several different examples at Red Line Ranch. Derrick Raspor, NRCS, will talk about the different pasture establishment techniques used on his farm.

12:00pm - Lunch

12:30pm - Multi-Species Grazing

Cherrie Nolden, 1der Acres Farm, will discuss nuances of multi-species grazing and assessing parasite loads in sheep.

1:30pm - Wrap up!
