Montana State Technical Committee Meeting - July 2023

State Technical Committees serve in an advisory capacity to the Natural Resources Conservation Service and other USDA agencies on the implementation of the natural resources conservation provisions of Farm Bill legislation.

The next meeting of the State Technical Committee is scheduled for July 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Great Falls at the SpringHill Suites on 3rd St NW.

1. Use of T-Storm map as a priority area boundary to help focus Wetland Reserve Easements in addition to the existing sage grouse question.
2. Add additional ranking/screening question for feasibility of restoring desired vegetative community and wetland/riparian ecological system as described in the Wetland Restoration Criteria and Guidelines.
