HONOLULU, July 24, 2025 – The East Hawaiʻi community is invited to join their neighboring farmers and ranchers for the East Local Working Group meetings, Aug. 5, 13 and 22, 2025.

Local conservation districts convene Local Working Group meetings, which are open to the public, with support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. They gather input from a diverse group of stakeholders with agricultural and environmental interests. Their feedback helps NRCS guide conservation priorities in the local communities for the upcoming fiscal year.

To learn more about NRCS programs, producers can contact their local USDA Service Center. Producers can also apply for NRCS programs, manage conservation plans and contracts, and view and print conservation maps by logging into their farmers.gov account.
