Suzy Daubert, Acting State Conservationist 

Daubert began her NRCS career mapping Maryland’s soils as a temporary employee. In 2002, she started with the agency full time in Riverton, Wyoming through the career intern program. She has since held a variety of field and state office- based positions in Maine, New York, Florida, and West Virginia, including district conservationist and assistance state conservationist for field operations.

During her career, Daubert has completed several details and special projects for NRCS.  In 2012, she graduated from the two-year NRCS Emerging Leadership Development Program where she discovered a passion for Continuous Process Improvement as a USDA certified Black Belt in Six Sigma.  Daubert completed a detail assignment management analysts at Strategic Planning and Accountability Department within NRCS with the Key Performance Measures and Strategic Planning team.  She was awarded the Secretary of Agriculture Blueprint for Better Customer Service Award for process improvement, recognized for eliminating waste and streamlining the NRCS National Employee Development Center Training Needs Inventory.  Most recently, she served as acting state conservationist in Nevada.

A native of Maryland, Daubert graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management and Soils. She and her husband Tim are the proud parents of two children, Jasmine and Chase, and a goldendoodle named Molly.
