NRCS State Technical Committee on Meeting March 28

The State Technical Committee (STC) meeting is virtually at 10 a.m. CDT on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE, Huron, S.D., March 8, 2024, - The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) serving South Dakota will hold its regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Committee (STC) virtually at 10 a.m. CDT on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Featured this session are two guest presentations on grasslands with Pete Bauman, SDSU Extension, and Riley Kammerer, Rancher, on a renovated hay land project through a Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG). The tentative agenda also includes: Congressional Staff Updates, Farm Bill Program Updates for the NRCS' Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Easements, the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) of the Farm Service Agency (FSA), FY24 Conservation Collaboration Cooperative Agreement (CCCA) Notice of Funding Update, Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Update, Technical and Conservation Practices Updates, South Dakota Wetland/Highly Erodible Land Compliance Updates, NRCS South Dakota Strategic Plan, and other Partnership Topics.
