Primary Resource Concern Addressed:

  • Terrestrial habitat - Terrestrial habitat for wildlife and invertebrates
  • Fire management - Wildfire hazard from biomass accumulation
  • Degraded plant condition - Plant structure and composition

Project Description
To create a funding opportunity to write Design Implementation Activity (DIA) 160 management plans and develop shelf ready projects to then create CISs on, based on common resource concerns and prioritized areas. Furthermore, by having identified landowners NRCS will be in a better position to collaborate with other agencies and leverage other resources as they become available. This type of planning strategy will position Oregon for stronger national incentive programs and position forest landowners in a better position for more streamlined conservation.
