Notice of Prescribed Burns in Linn County, Oregon

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in partnership with EcoStudies Institute will perform a prescribed burn on a site enrolled in the Wetlands Reserve Program in Linn County, Oregon.

The exact date and time of the burn(s) will depend on weather conditions, but the burn(s) will take place sometime between: Sept. 9 - Oct. 31, 2024

Easement Site #1
Burn Area: 73 acres
Location: 1.5 miles West of Albany; 0.3 miles West of railroad; 2.88 miles East of Corvallis.

Easement Site #2
Burn Area: 318 acres
Location: 4 miles South-southeast of Turner, 5.5 miles South of Aumsville, 5.5 miles Northeast of Jefferson.

Easement Site #3
Burn Area: 100 acres
Location: 5.7 miles East of Crabtree, 8 miles Northeast of Lebanon.

Easement Site #4
Burn Area: 584 acres
Location: 0.67 miles East of Highway 5, 5.2 miles East of Harrisburg, 6.5 miles Southeast of Halsey.

Easement Site #5
Burn Area: 58 acres
Location: 1800 feet East of Highway 226, 3 miles South of Scio, 3.5 miles Northwest of Crabtree, 13 miles East of I-5 and Albany.

Private residences are adjacent to the burn areas.
