Watershed Programs

Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP) is available to provide technical and financial assistance where damage done by a natural disaster poses an imminent threat to life or property, or both.  The program is available to eligible entities for both federally declared disasters, as well as local disasters as approved the NRCS State Conservationist.

Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations (WFPO) Program provides technical and financial assistance to entities of State and local governments and Tribes (project sponsors) for planning and installing watershed projects.

Watershed Rehabilitation Program helps project sponsors rehabilitate aging dams that were originally constructed through the NRCS Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Operations Program (WFPO).
