Melody Martinez, Soil Conservationist Technician with Team 9 in Las Cruces, NM Selected as the New Mexico Employee of the Month for September 2023
Congratulations to Melody Martinez, Soil Conservationist Technician with Team 9 in Las Cruces, NM. Melody has been selected as the NMEOM for September 2023.
Melody Martinez was hired in April 2023. Her motivation and productivity has been exceptional for an entry level employee. On top of learning NRCS programs, engineering, and general procedures, Melody has actively sought to be a valued asset to the Team. She served as the trainer and mentor to the Natural Resources Career Development Program summer intern in the Las Cruces Field Office. She also independently completed several designs for Team 9 as well as surveys and designs for the Sierra Soil and Water Conservation District.
As a result of Melody’s effort, Team 9 met contracting deadlines. In addition, she helped foster a better relationship with partners and ensured the intern gained engineering experience and customer service skills.
