April Luna, Soil Conservationist with Team 2 in Los Lunas, NM, selected as the Employee of the Month for August 2023.

Congratulations to April Luna, Soil Conservationist with Team 2 in Los Lunas, NM. April has been selected as the NMEOM for August 2023.

April helped to set up filming locations for the National USDA film crew with a local producer who applied with the Agricultural Land Easement Program (ACEP-ALE). She collaborated with Athena Cholas, State ACEP Program Manager, and the film crew to develop a script and some interview questions. In addition, April appeared on-screen to promote New Mexico's work on ACEP-ALE.
As a result of April’s effort, coordination with state office staff, as well as the USDA Film Crew, Team 2 and New Mexico's conservation work on easements will be highlighted to the public on YouTube.

This will improve landowners' understanding of easements and promote New Mexico's agricultural and conservation community on a nationwide basis.
