Regional Conservationist Kasey Taylor
Kasey Taylor has served as the NRCS regional conservationist for the Northeast Region since November 2023.

She provides agency and natural resources leadership and support to state conservationists and partners and ensures states effectively manage an extensive portfolio of comprehensive conservation strategies—which includes implementing NRCS’s conservation technical assistance and financial assistance programs on private lands.
During her NRCS career, Taylor has worked in several states – Kansas as a student trainee, Arkansas as a soil conservationist and district conservationist, and Minnesota as assistant state conservationist for field operations and acting assistant state conservationist for operations. Most recently, she was the Delaware state conservationist and provided overall leadership for business operations, conservation planning, partnership, and related activities that supported voluntary conservation throughout the state.

She has served in a variety of temporary assignments, including acting state conservationist for Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska; acting National Conservation Reserve Program manager; and acting deputy chief for science and technology in Washington, D.C. Her passion is supporting the conservation partnership and ensuring access to all USDA programs.
Throughout her career, Taylor has been passionate about employee development and worked with professional organizations to assist with advancing employees and moving the agency mission forward. She has been a member of the Soil and Water Conservation Society since 1997 and served as the chair for the Arkansas Chapter. She is a lifetime member of the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees. She is also a member of the NRCS National Organization of Professional Women (WiN) and serves as an advisor for the executive board.
A native of Illinois, Taylor graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She and her husband Myron are the proud parents of two children: James and Jonathan.
