Southeast Regional Conservationist, James Tillman Speaks at USDA Panel at the Annual Federation of Southern Cooperatives and Land Assistance Fund Meeting
Epes, Alabama, 17-19 August 2023 - Southeast Regional producers converged on the town of Epes (Eh-ps), in Sumter County, Alabama for the annual Federation of Southern Cooperatives’ Land Assistance Fund meeting. It was a three-day celebration, this year, commemorating the lifetime achievement of Estelle Witherspoon, and addressed the history and combatting the challenges faced by historically underserved producers.
On the 18th, the USDA NRCS Southeast Regional Conservationist, James Tillman (above), took part in a USDA panel discussion, speaking to a packed room of attendees interested in hearing about plans and progress in the delivery of conservation to historically underserved producers.
