The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Minnesota welcomes farmers, ranchers, and partners to the spring Minnesota State Technical Advisory Committee.

What does the State Technical Advisory Committee do?

The Minnesota State Technical Advisory Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on the implementation of the natural resources conservation provisions of Farm Bill legislation.  The Committee is intended to include members from a wide variety of natural resource and agricultural interests.  Chaired by the State Conservationist, Troy Daniell, the MSTAC is composed of representatives from Federal and State natural resource agencies, American Indian Tribes, agricultural and environmental organizations, and agricultural producers.

How often does the committee meet?

The MSTAC meets regularly to provide information, analysis and recommendations to the State Conservationist who strongly considers their advice.

How do I participate as a Local Working Group member?

Individuals or groups wanting to participate as members on the MSTAC may submit requests to the Ryan Galbreath  explaining their interest and relevant credentials.

This meeting will be held at The Park Event Center in Waite Park, MN on May 6 – 7, 2025.
