Governor Evers has declared July 7-13 Wisconsin Women in Conservation Week, siting the important contributions of the state’s women landowners, farmers, farm managers, farm workers and conservation professionals. The Wisconsin Women in Conservation project, a partner with WI NRCS, is hosting Happy Hours across the state through their Educator Network, highlighting the contributions of women conservation educators. Both men and women should come and celebrate, whether they are conservation professionals or volunteers or practitioners. This is a great place to connect with other conservation champions in your region. RSVPs are free at WiWiC.org, and helpful to assist the organizers in planning for food and space.
