The Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District invites the public to participate in a Local Working Group Meeting Aug. 15, 9 a.m. at Kagman Community Center.
The Local Working Group is a locally led initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in the Pacific Islands Area, and it serves an essential role in our communities. Participants provide recommendations on local and state natural resource priorities and conservation activities to help identify and prioritize conservation issues, promote sustainable practices and foster partnerships. Insights from farmers, ranchers, and partners are crucial to our efforts.
Attendance is free. For any questions or further information, please contact Saipan and Northern Islands SWCD Chairperson Glenn Manglona at 670-287-4536 or email gmanglona@gmail.com.
We look forward to your active participation and valuable contributions to this collaborative effort. Together, we can make a significant difference in the health and productivity of our local environment.
