Luta Local Working Group Meeting

Registration

This event is free to attend.

The Luta Soil and Water Conservation District invites the public to participate in a Local Working Group Meeting Aug. 8, 5 p.m. at the Department of Commerce Conference Room on Rota, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands.

The Local Working Group is a locally led initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in the Pacific Islands Area, and it serves an essential role in our communities. Participants provide recommendations on local and state natural resource priorities and conservation activities to help identify and prioritize conservation issues, promote sustainable practices and foster partnerships. Insights from farmers, ranchers, and partners are crucial to our efforts.

This event is free to attend. For any questions or further information, please contact Luta SWCD Chairperson Dana Calvo at 670-287-1477 or email chair.lswcd@gmail.com.

We look forward to your active participation and valuable contributions to this collaborative effort. Together, we can make a significant difference in the health and productivity of our local environment.

Attendees with disabilities requiring special accommodations or alternative means for communication of program information (Braille, large print, audiotape, etc.) should contact Karl Mikasa, NRCS Pacific Islands Area 508 compliance officer, at 808-447-3121 or karl.mikasa@usda.gov for assistance.
