Our Amazing Grasslands - Blaalid Family ~ Mitchell, South Dakota

So in order to do that, we need grass. And in order to keep grass, we need to show value to the landowner.”

In this six and a half minute video, we visit with the Blaalid family in Mitchell, South Dakota. Mike Blaalid is a producer with a long term agreement with a non-operator landowner. Blaalid's vision is also long term, and he believes in improving the land as his children grow up and begin to contribute to the operation.

The South Dakota Grassland Coalition (SDGC) partnered with the organizations listed below to enhance the Grassland Planner with a release of a short video story each month during 2023, promoting healthy soils, grasslands, and ecosystems. Please enjoy the "Our Amazing Grasslands" feature story for November 2023.
