Hope Tran, State Office Civil Engineer in Albuquerque, NM, Selected as the New Mexico Employee of the Month for April 2024

Congratulations to Hope Tran, State Office Civil Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. Hope has been selected as the NMEOM for April 2024.

Hope worked extremely hard with our Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon (HPCC) Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program sponsor, the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), and their contractor to implement a state pricing agreement for EWP. This pricing agreement will be utilized statewide by sponsors to implement EWP. The pricing agreement is made up of all practices, activities, materials, etc. that can be used by sponsors to quickly contract EWP out.

Hope’s efforts exceeded the normal expectations she has gone outside her normal duties to cover program management and help get the pricing agreement in place which would typically be handled by the sponsor and assisted by the EWP program manager. Sponsors statewide will be able to utilize this pricing agreement. This means for all future EWP events implementation will be much faster and easier for sponsors no matter where the state experiences a disaster.

Congratulations on a job well done!
