Louisiana Welcomes New State Conservationist

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) recently selected Chad Kacir to serve as State Conservationist for Louisiana. As State Conservationist, Chad will oversee the programs, operations and staff in the 44 NRCS offices located throughout Louisiana. 

USDA Opens Signup for Feral Swine Eradication and Control Pilot Program Grants

Through a new 2018 Farm Bill program, state agencies and other groups in select states can now apply for grants for projects targeted to help control feral swine.
