Rock Mill Dam in Fairfield County -

The Hunter’s Run Conservancy District is working on a proposed rehabilitation project for Rock Mill Dam in Fairfield County, Ohio.  Rock Mill Dam, constructed in 1960, is an earthfill dam designed and constructed as a high hazard structure for the purpose of reducing downstream flood damages along the Hocking River upstream of Lancaster, Ohio. Rock Mill Dam does not currently meet applicable NRCS or State of Ohio dam safety and performance standards for a high hazard dam.
