New Monthly Water Supply Summary
The new monthly water supply webpages have been created to allow water users across the region to access more detailed water resource information than ever before. The state-wide summary and individual river basin summaries now include interactive maps and plots so that water users can quickly view current conditions, and more detailed information for their area of interest.
The state-wide summary below compiles the information that has historically been used to create the monthly Water Supply Outlook Report (WSOR) opening section. Although the opening section and narratives will continue to be published monthly in report form, the individual river basin sections will now be web-based so that customers have increased access to relevant information for their water resource planning purposes. Streamflow forecasts will be available in both the webpages and traditional report form.
While the WSOR will look a bit different, some things have stayed the same. Access to the monthly table-based reports of Snow Water Equivalent (Snowpack), Precipitation, Reservoir Storage and Streamflow is easier than before, and can be found in the section below under the "Monthly Reports Section".
To view the state-wide summary, continue scrolling through the page below. Links to the individual river basin summaries can be found at the bottom of this webpage, or by using the top navigation bar and hovering over the "Water Supply Tab" and dropping down to "Monthly River Basin Summaries".
As we continue to develop new tools for water users across Montana, we welcome your feedback, good or bad. Please let us know if this webpage and other tools are suiting your needs, or how we can improve.
