Vision:  Excellence in Conservation through Sound Design

Mission:  To enhance the natural resources of WV through engineering leadership, innovation, accountability, and production in implementing engineered conservation practices.  We will work together as a team to readily share our knowledge and experience of engineering principles and practices statewide.

Scope:  The West Virginia NRCS engineering staff is made up of agricultural and civil engineers, geologists, and engineering technicians whom provide internal and external customers innovative, economical, timely, and environmentally sound solutions to natural resource plans, operations, and issues.  We provide planning, design, and construction services to solve problems related to soil erosion, water quality, agricultural waste management, and wetland restoration.

The Electronic Directives System (eDirectives) provides employees of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) immediate access to the most current directives issued by the NRCS.  The eDirectives system houses the manuals that layout NRCS polices as well as handbooks which outline NRCS procedures.  The technical resources below are in support of the eDirectives system.
