NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF FINAL EA AND FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

SUMMARY: Pursuant to section 102(2)(c) of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations (40 CFR Part 1500), and the Natural Resources Conservation Service Regulations (7 CFR Part 650), the Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, gives notice of availability of a Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) related to its decision whether to release its interest in Mill Run PA-461A&B, Tamarack Lake Dam in the Mill Creek Watershed, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The NRCS currently has an interest in Mill Run PA-461A&B, Tamarack Lake Dam, and has been asked by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission to release that federal interest. An EA was prepared to analyze and document the environmental impacts of the NRCS’s decision regarding releasing the future federal interest in Mill Run PA-461A&B, Tamarack Lake Dam and has determined that the decision does not constitute a “major federal action significantly impacting the quality of the human environment” and therefore an Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared.
