Outreach in New Jersey - It's everyone's job!

NRCS employees regularly participate in outreach activities like workshops, field tours and demonstrations, agricultural meetings, classroom presentations, etc. Employees should report these outreach activities on the NJ SharePoint. File scans of the supporting documents (agenda, brochures, photos, etc.) in a folder of the 230 Civil Rights digital file. Name your folder in this format: YYYY-MM-DD-NameOfEvent.

Helping customers with proficiency in a language other than English

Customers with limited English proficiency are asked to:

  1. Identify the language they speak on the chart on display in the NRCS office. A professional interpreter will be contacted to facilitate communication between NRCS and the customer seeking NRCS assistance.
  2. If interpretive services are refused, the customer is asked to sign a waiver, indicating that the services were offered and declined.
