Driftless Area Landscape Conservation Initiative (DALCI)
NRCS will offer financial assistance in 2013 to agricultural producers for implementing practices that reduce erosion and improve fish wildlife habitat in the Driftless Area of Illinois. Financial assistance will come through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and will focus on reducing erosion and sediment delivery to surface water as well as activities related to improving fish and wildlife habitats.
Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI)
Restoring and protecting watersheds in eight states surrounding the Great Lakes that provide drinking water for over 40 million Americans and drive a $62 billion annual economy of fishing, boating and recreational activities.
Mississippi River Basin Healthy Watersheds Initiative (MRBI)
Improving water quality, restoring wetlands, and enhancing wildlife habitat and agricultural profitability in priority small watersheds of the Mississippi River in the states of Arkansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

For the new watersheds of MRBI, application acceptance deadlines are:
May 15, 2015 and June 19, 2015.
National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI)
Through the National Water Quality Initiative in 2013, the Natural Resources Conservation Service will work with farmers and ranchers in 165 small watersheds throughout the Nation to improve water quality where this is a critical concern.
Red River Basin Initiative (RRBI)
The Red River Basin, located in parts of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, has lost significant amounts of native prairie and wetlands and continues to experience severe flooding. That flooding has also resulted in loss of wildlife habitat and increased water quality concerns.
