Even if you manage your grazing well, you still need at least some hay from time to time. This is especially true after the drought Virginia experienced between mid-July and October. This year's conference focuses on the theme Thinking Strategically: The Role of Hay in Today’s Grazing System, offering a great opportunity for anyone who makes or uses hay in support of their livestock operation.

Complete your registration online at to gain new insights from the following featured speakers:

  • Kevin Yon of Ridge Spring, S.C., will share how his family grew their operation to 1,200 registered brood cows and 590 commercial cows managed on 4,000 acres of combined pasture and hay land. He will also cover use of harvested forages to enhance the grazing system on Yon Family Farms and share his perspective on business paths and opportunities for forage based farm systems.
  • Dr. Dan Undersander, Professor Emeritus from University of Wisconsin, will focus on different aspects of making hay and baleage as well as equipment, preservatives and technology to support your grazing system.
