  • Engage in a a lively discussion on soil health and cover cropping with Mark Dempsey and Patryk Battle who will share innovative approaches and highly successful results.
     
  • Learn how Virginia third-generation meat and grain farmer, CJ Isbell, reaches consumers through di­rect marketing that is making his farm part of the com­munity and the community part of the farm. (VCE agents will also tell you how to graze cattle for 300 days and reduce feed costs!)
     
  • Make your wooded areas more productive with information on agroforestry, silvopasture, and community forests from Virginia and Cornell Cooperative Exten­sion specialists.
     
  • Get a lesson on building soil and being healthy from renowned authors Dave Montgomery and Ann Biklé, who will share the importance of microbial soil health and its relationship to the human gut.
     
  • Take high tunnels to the next level with tips on managing soil and pests from Penn State specialists.
