Join us for a tour and pasture walk highlighting different forages and grazing techniques Dick and Mary Lund are using in their grass fed and finished Black Angus beef system. While there, you can get an update on federal and state conservation programs as well as information on a wide range of grazing-related topics including:

  • How soil fertility and recordkeeping made a substantial difference
  • Managing for shade in a rotational grazing system
  • Using alternative forages to meet seasonal livestock needs
  • Forage identification and weed management

The event will begin at 5:30 pm with a simple meal followed by the evening pasture walk on the Appomattox County farm. Space is limited so register for $10 today to secure your attendance.  A link to the event flyer with farm location, featured speakers, and registration details is provided below.
