Farmer Mike Graves is working with research scientists from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Mississippi State University to improve the environmental stewardship of his farming operation. This partnership is investigating the impacts of winter cover crops on soil and water quality, as well as potential impacts to crop yields in the following growing season. Come hear partners talk about the varieties and benefits of cover crops, water quality issues and goals in the local watershed and across the state, and hear first-hand from the farmer how he has been able to add cover crops into his farming practices!
