The Calvert Soil Conservation District (SCD) in partnership with USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be hosting a public Local Work Group Meeting on August 12, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Room 108 of the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Community Center, located at 901 Dares Beach Road (the former SMECO building), Prince Frederick, Maryland.
The purpose of this meeting is to prioritize local natural resource concerns to set funding priorities for federal Fiscal Year 2020 Farm Bill Programs, which offer financial assistance for the installation of conservation practices. Discussion will include a review of current priorities and prioritizing local natural resource concerns for 2020 in Calvert County and Statewide.
